ACT, partnering with Ardnashee School & College (ASC), the largest special school in NI provide a specialised training and learning project in Aquaponics, Horticulture and Digital Fabrications. Young people with learning disabilities, still at school, get the opportunity to learn and develop the FabFarm. Using state of the art digital fabrication equipment from the Nerve Centre’s FabLab, students receive hands-on training and experience in a range of digital design and making techniques that will allow them to design, build and operate an Aquaponics farm and achieve a qualification in Digital Fabrication. The FabFarm is the latest innovation for our multi award-winning Playtrail project, and adds a new dimension to the work we do with young people with learning disabilities.
